Welcome to Skybreach, a happy place in the clouds comprising of different Skylands where curious birds named Kanaria live. Kanaria live in groups named flocks that can have one or more leaders. Another interesting thing about Kanaria is that they love items. Kanaria can be equipped with them to help them gain special skills.
Although Kanaria can fly, sometimes there are other inhabitants or visitors of Skybreach who cannot, so for them (and lazy Kanaria) there are airships to get around different skylands. This is only the tip of the iceberg, for more details on the lives of Skybreach inhabitants, take a look at this.
What are Kanaria?
At this point you might be wondering why am I reading about Kanaria in a SORA blogpost? or, you might also be fully aware that the top 100 SORA Kusama Parachain crowdloan contributors will get a special SORA-insipired item to equip to Kanaria NFT, and are keen to know what makes it so special.
When RMRK announced on Dec 16th that they would be partnering up with SORA and providing support for the SORA Kusama Parachain auction in the form of special rewards for the top hundred crowdloan contributors, while SORA would be integrating RMRK pallets to their runtime, for native integration with the world’s most advanced logic, in line with the Many Worlds, One Economy vision, everyone was quite excited, but also very curious about the nature of these rewards. What kind of NFT will be provided? Will they be Kanaria themselves or special items? What if I already have a Kanaria? Don’t worry, you will find the answers here.
SORA x RMRK special items
The inhabitants of Skybreach have all kinds of interests. The ones that are close to SORA are keen practitioners of kyūdō (弓道), the Japanese martial art of archery. Although they are not kyūdōka (弓道家) who hunt, the practice and discipline does provide them ZEN, more specifically shin-zen-bi, roughly “truth-goodness-beauty”.
It is said that a true shot in kyūdō is not one that hits the center of the target, but one where the arrow is can be said to exist in the target before it released. Kanaria from the SORA network all practice kyūdō, and with the SORA Kusama Parachain crowdloan, one hundred special yumi 弓 and ya 矢 (bow and arrow) handheld items, designed in collaboration with SORA, will be rewarded to the top hundred contributors in the SORA Kusama crowdloan for their Kanaria to proudly hold.
You do not have to have a Kanaria bird to get this bonus item, but you do have to be in the top 100 contributors, and among those among the top 100 contributors who do have a bird (any Kanaria bird) when the crowdloan closes will get two items so that they can use them in the RMRK metaverse, and SORA’s! (wait, does this mean that Skybreach will be in the SORA network too?)
Note: Having multiple birds does not mean that you would get multiple items, however, if you are within the top 100 contributors with more than 1 account, then, in that case, you would indeed qualify for multiple items
