Overview
Recently, we have launched our Builders Program to help further the growth, development, and adoption of the Shiden Network by supporting teams that are building on Shiden and, in a later phase Astar ecosystem. Stake Technologies head the program with guidance from Parity Technologies under the Builders for Builders initiative.
Shiden Network launches Builders Program
After receiving the proposal from Subscan, the community had the opportunity to comment and add feedback through our forum. On July 16th, we started the voting. The proposal passed with flying colors. Congrats!
Proposal
Subscan plans to provide basic explorer customization services for Dusty Shiden and Astar (previously known as Plasm) Network. The program prioritizes the development as follows:
- Priority 1: Shiden Network (Mainnet as Kusama Parachain)
- Priority 2: Dusty Network (Testnet acts as independent chain)
- Priority 3: Astar Network (Mainnet as Polkadot Parachain)
Basic explorer customization services include the following functions:
- Block information
- Transaction
- Extrinsics
- Reward & Slash
- Balance
- Event
- Wallet addresses
- Number of transactions
- Transaction Price
- Error log
In addition, Subscan will also provide customized services of EVM modules for these networks and research WASM smart contract module.
EVM services:
- EVM block parse (example)
- EVM transaction basic information display (source, target, input, value, gas_limit, gas_price, nonce)
- EVM event parse (example)
- EVM contract viewability (tokens transferred within the contract)
Milestones
Milestone 1: Basic explorer customization services
Estimated duration: 1 month
- Article: publish an article that explains grant details of this milestone on Medium.
- Support Shiden Network: basic explorer customization services.

Milestone 2: Support EVM modules
Estimated duration: 1.5 months

Future Plans
After delivering both milestones, Subscan will support more functions about smart contract viewability, adding WASM module, contract calling, validator page (example), etc.
Subscan will be our go-to explorer partner for the Astar community and developers.
