Hello everyone. This is Sota Watanabe, founder of Astar Network. Currently, we are on the right track to fully launch Shiden Network. This week, we have distributed SDN tokens to KSM crowdloan participants. And, in the next few weeks, Shiden is going to become a PoS network and enable smart contracts.

In this post, I will summarize our updates.

SDN tokens were distributed. And Our launch phase2–3 was completed.

PoS migration test on Shiden’s testnet is on going!

Together with ambassadors, the core team is testing the PoS migration. In the next week or so, Dusty, our primary testnet is going to be PoS testnet. Once Dusty becomes a stable network, Shiden will be updated and SDN token holders can stake their tokens to collators. At the first point, only ambassadors and ecosystem projects can become a collator.

Pinknode creates the gateway to the Astar ecosystem

Pinknode creates the gateway to the Astar ecosystem

Pinknode aims to be the gateway to the Polkadot ecosystem. Pinknode empowers developers by providing node-as-a-service solutions by removing an entire layer of inefficiencies and complexities and accelerating products life cycle.

Astar has chosen Pinknode as one of its service partners. This partnership entails Pinknode’s participation as a collator node to support the first phase of the Shiden launch. Pinknode will also provide single-click API endpoints for Dusty. In a later stage also Shiden and Astar Network.

Subscan joins Astar Builders Program

Subscan joins Astar Builders Program

Subscan joins Astar Builders Program. As a first step, Subscan completed making Shiden’s blockchain explorer!

Subscan | Substrate based blockchain explorer

Now, SDN token holders can see their address and the number of SDN tokens they have on Subscan!

As a next step, Subscan plans to provide basic explorer customization services for Dusty Shiden and Astar (previously known as Plasm) Network. In addition, Subscan will also provide customized services of EVM modules for these networks and research WASM smart contract module.

Bware Labs joins our ecosystem as one of our go-to service partners for future developers

Bware Labs joins our ecosystem as one of our go-to service partners for future developers

The goal of Bware Labs is to build a decentralized platform where full node owners and endpoint users such as developers and organizations can collaborate in a secure and trustful manner.

As a user of Bware Labs, you will be able to obtain endpoints, allowing you to interact with multiple blockchain networks, from the MVP release of their Decentralized Blockchain API platform. Endpoints for Dusty, Shiden, and soon Astar can be obtained just by performing a few simple clicks within a user-friendly interface.

XCMP pallet calling with Kylin

XCMP pallet calling with Kylin

Polkadot’s Cross-chain Message Passing protocol, known as ‘XCMP’, is a game-changer and unique feature in the Polkadot ecosystem. XCMP allows consensus-based message passing between a parachain and another parachain. Together with Kylin, we have completed using Kylin’s oracle on Astar through XCMP!
