Last week, on May 26th, we held our 18th community call. We hold these sessions in effort to keep you all updated on what’s happening both behind the scenes and in general in the Equilibrium ecosystem.

The hour-long call had a packed agenda which covered everything from the EQ Republic offering to development updates. Equilibrium CEO Alex Melikhov hosted the call, along with Senior Project Manager Peter Streelman.

For those of you who missed it, we’ve created a recap with everything you need to know!

Parallel Integration + 50K EQ giveaway

Through our liquidity bootstrap, Equilibrium integrated Parallel (ParallelFi). This event supported, HKO, PARA, and cDOT.

Moreover, the bootstrap event created new uses cases for DeFi assets available in the Equilibrium ecosystem, including:

  • DEX listing of HKO and PARA
  • HKO and PARA liquidity pools available to money markets for staking and borrowing
  • DOT/cDOT/xDOT trading

Those who provided liquidity for Parallel’s native assets during the event will be distributed special allocations of GENS & EQ.

You can still join in on the excitement of the bootstrap event via our 50,000 EQ giveaway, which celebrates our Parallel integration. We will randomly select 50 participants who will share the prize pool!

XCM Integrations Status Update

In an effort to continue to be one of the most efficient, dynamic platforms in the DeFi space, we’re always working towards integrations. Recently we worked with four different platforms, which means more tokens and more bootstrap events.

Parallel: Integration complete. Supports HKO, PARA, and cDOT. Awaiting liquidity bootstrap.

Kaura: Integration complete. Supports aUSD, KAR, LKSM, lcDOT, and ACA. Awaiting liquidity bootstrap.

Kintsugi: Integration under discussion. Supports kBTC and interBTC.

Moonbeam: Integration pending approval. Supports MOVR, GLMR, and ecosystem assets.

We support additional wallets

We’re excited to announce that Genshiro supports two more wallets, with Equilibrium support under pending approval!

Subwallet is a gateway to the Web3 multiverse for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems. The wallet features include:

  • NFT portfolio tracking
  • Asset portfolio control
  • Crowdloan activities tracking
  • Staking rewards management

This wallet is currently live on Genshiro and is under development in Equilibrium.

Talisman is a Web3 wallet, which unlocks apps in the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems. The wallet features include:

  • NFT portfolio tracking
  • Asset portfolio control
  • Crowdloan activities tracking
  • Ecosystem project integrations

This wallet is currently live on Genshiro and is under development in Equilibrium.

Genshiro DEX launch

We launched a decentralized exchange on Genshiro! This is a major and long-awaited update for our Genshiro community. The DEX features the first fully on-chain orderbook and is based on DotSama.

Users of the DEX can leverage up to 20X on their staking, while liquidity providers receive DeFi-like income.

The current setup of the DEX supports KSM / EQD trading. Additional pairs will launch with MM pools have both a 200k ask and bid side liquidity in USD equivalent.

Up next for xDOT batch 3

Our third batch of xDOT is underway. Here’s what users can expect in this next round:

  • Genshiro and Equilibrium bridge
  • xDOT tradable on Equilibrium-based AMM
  • AMM launches in June
  • xDOT pools bootstrap phase

Meanwhile, three projects have been collecting and distributing xDOT. Unique collected 3,005DOT, which were distributed on Genshiro. Litentry collected 168,000DOT, which were distributed on Genshiro. Polkadex collected 26,000DOT, which were also distributed on Genshiro.

Final dev updates

Lastly, the community call summed up all general development updates within the Equilibrium and Genshiro ecosystems. We’re working around the clock to make sure our platforms and offerings are top notch for users. Here’s what you need to know:

We launched a new website and UI for Equilibrium. This was done in an effort to streamline the user interface and make our mission more straightforward. In addition, we are developing a new UI/UX for the Equilibrium application.

Our team reworked the mechanics of our MM pools and added a withdrawal feature. We plan to launch a MM in the Equilibrium application in the near future. Lastly, you should expect the launch of new liquidity farming mechanics in Genshiro!

Stay up to date

As you can see, activity in our ecosystem never stops. Community is at the heart of everything we do here at Equilibrium, therefore we are always looking for ways to enhance the experience of interacting and engaging with our platforms.

Make sure you follow us on social media so you never miss an update — or community call!
