NFT bid winner to receive a special offer to appear as a cartoon in the original comic series
Apr 14, 2022 — Astar Network is honored to be selected as the public blockchain of choice for the minting of two NFTs derived from iconic Japanese Manga — EREN THE SOUTHPAW.
We are pleased to announce that an auction will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, and the winners will receive the minted NFTs.
All auction bidders will receive an NFT gift. The winner of the auction will be inscribed on the blockchain as the owner of the art NFT. Furthermore, as an exciting incentive to participate, the winner of the auction will appear as a cartoon in the comic series in the future.
This project is the first partnership initiative between double jump.tokyo and Astar Network in the NFT space and will be the first case of manga IP use by Astar Network.
We are thrilled about this new development in the Web3.0 era, where street art from manga will pop up in the metaverse and be sold in real life as an art NFT. Other involved companies in this project include Gumi Inc. and Number Nine Inc.

The two street art masterpieces, The Black Monster and Night in Chelsea, drawn by Eren in the main story of the manga EREN THE SOUTHPAW, will be the auctioned art NFTs.

Mr. Kappi, the author of “EREN THE SOUTHPAW,” will draw a character in the image of the final buyer. The characters will also be published on the comic book platform site “cakes” and featured in the original series.

As a commemoration of the NFT adaptation of the street art The Black Monster and Night in Chelsea that appeared in the manga, the artworks will be exhibited in the Metaverse space for a limited time only. Eren’s street art, which could only be seen in the manga, can be seen up close in the Metaverse.
