- Aug 15, Phala’s new testnet Para-1 went live. This first “Para” series testnet is based on parachain mechanisms, replacing the original PoC series of testnets for Phala. Para-1 introduces our new Token Economics and the TEE mining mechanism for TEE Workers so that miners can experience and test StakePool functions using test coins. When the test ends, Phala will open a referendum on the new token economics for Khala. Read full announcement details here, or check out the live testnet here.

- Aug 13, Phala was invited to join a panel at The Rising Star along with Acala, Bifrost, and Moonbeam. The headline was Witness the New Gameplay of DeFi in Kusama Ecosystem; on that subject, Phala CEO Marvin stressed that one of Phala’s priorities in our next stage is to fully enable cross-chain interactions between the parachains.
