Dear Community,
Thank you so much for the support you have given us over the period of this batch of parachain auctions. We are without-a-doubt proud of the strong community support we have received during this time. We have always taken pride in our strong community and supporters, and our team continues to be driven by the positive sentiment from you. The fact that so much of the community both believes in the importance of privacy for the Polkadot ecosystem, as well as the Manta Network team’s ability to execute on delivering that privacy, indicates to us that we are building the right technology, and we’re on the right track.
As a next step in the conclusion of the first batch of auctions, your DOT will be automatically returned to you. We have been seeing a lot of momentum after the release of our Dolphin testnet; the feedback we have been receiving has been overwhelmingly positive, with approximately 9 out of every 10 testnet participants indicating a very good experience with Dolphin.
We want to take this next chapter and refocus on iterating and perfecting our first product on Calamari. This includes things like:
- releasing the Signer support for Windows and Linux
- implementing permanent private addresses
- rolling out other features we haven’t officially announced yet
- Maturing Calamari through XCM integrations with notable projects within the Kusama ecosystem
- porting $KMA to other parachains
As a result, we will not be immediately going into the second batch of auctions, but will instead take the position of an observer while focusing the team efforts on building and releasing more improvements to the testnet and expend more use cases on Calamari.
Since day 1, we have been committed to Web 3.0 and privacy, our community, and the Polkadot ecosystem. Our core team is not selected simply on talent, but also on their passion and understanding of how critical privacy as a utility is to the Web 3.0 ecosystem. We have been listening to community feedback and revising some of the most critical pieces of our project in response. And we have been with Polkadot, building and supporting other parachain projects wherever we can.
As mentioned in the beginning, thank you for all of your support through this. Building on Polkadot and Kusama offers an experience that connects projects and their respective communities in a manner that is truly unique and valuable. We believe that this decision to focus more closely on development and progress is the right long-term step for Manta and Calamari Network. We want to congratulate all of the winners of the first batch, and look forward to watching the Polkadot ecosystem deploy its first batch projects.
Sincerely,
The Core Team at Manta Network
