10,000 NFTs: You take the blue pill… the story ends, you go back to centralization and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill… you stay in decentralization, and Nodle will show you how deep the decentralization rabbit hole goes…
These Decentralization NFTS will be granted to the 10,000 highest bidders for the Nodle Parachain auction.
As Nodle enters the second batch of Parachain slot auction on Polkadot, we have manifested a new collaboration that blurs art, technology, and their effect on reality. Nodle teamed up with a famed contemporary painter who explores machine and automation trajectory using traditional fine art technique — and whose identity is top secret — with AI engineer artist Romain Paulus to craft Decentralization NFTs inspired by The Matrix movie’s iconic blue pill vs. red pill tension. Now, the choice for decentralization is open to the first participants in Nodle’s crowdloan process. The choice is yours — join us on: parachain.nodle.com
10,000 Unique Decentralization NFT
One day, while cruising down California Street in San Francisco, my girlfriend pointed out art painted on the sidewalk that made me stop in my tracks. It depicted two hands: One was holding a blue pill, and the other a red, in a very Matrix way. I couldn’t help but be reminded of the important choice people can make today: They can either keep on using centralized services or go for more privacy and use decentralized services. At Nodle, my team and I work every day to create a more decentralized future. We believe the timing is right for people to make a choice. And now that Nodle has entered its crowdloan auction to gain a Polkadot parachain slot, we are getting closer to giving the internet back to its users. That’s why we created, and are granting, Decentralization NFTs to the first participants that commit their DOTs in the Nodle parachain auction.
A Blur of Art, Life, and Technology: Contemporary Painter, AI Models, and 10,000 Decentralized NFTs
“My paintings blur the analog and mechanical reality we exist in by employing fine art painting to express contemporary muses: technology, robotics, and humans’ coexistence with an increasingly automated society.” — Mystery Anonymous NFT Artist
No one person owns the internet’s future — this is core to our decentralized wireless (DeWi) beliefs at Nodle. That’s why we imbued these beliefs into our NFT collaboration. We took original paintings from the mystery artist — who’s held residencies at top robotics companies and Fortune 50 technology firms — and infused them with visual cues from the matrix made by our NFT artist: red and blue pills, Matrix ‘rain,’ and Web 3.0 or tech words. Then, AI researcher and artist Romain Paulus obtained optical randomness using multiple AI treatments — including proprietary algorithms and code structure — before minting unique distinct NFTS.
Why the Future Is Decentralized and the Choice Is YOURS
These 10,000 original Decentralized NFTs will be made available on the Kusama blockchain, Polkadot’s canary network focused on more experimental applications and art experiments.
You will be able to easily check if you are the lucky owner of one of these NFTs after participating in the Nodle Parachain Crowdloan Offering. Once you’ve staked your DOTs, and you are among the first highest bidders to do so, an NFT will be airdropped to your Polkadot wallet. All participants will be able to check if they were granted a Decentralization NFT in one of our next Medium posts.
Decentralization NFTs are among the first NFTs Collection in the Polkadot ecosystem
Kusama is becoming a real alternative to Ethereum for NFTs
Ethereum has recently been a victim of its own success when it comes to the popularization of NFTs. The demand and volume of transactions for this new genre of digital items have been putting a lot of stress on the Ethereum network, and buyers have been experiencing very high gas fees, which reflect the cost of settling the transactions on the Ethereum network. For example: In early December 2021, the cost of minting an NFT on the Foundation app running on Ethereum was Approx. 60 dollars while it only cost 5 cents on the Kusama chain.
